ZonaGardens is the brainchild of Scott Calhoun, a fourth-generation Arizonan with a passion for the desert environment and desert-appropriate design.

Scott's garden designs and writing have been featured in Sunset and Horticulture magazines, Tucson Home and The Arizona Daily Star, and most recently in his best-selling book, Chasing Wildflowers .

Our designs are compatible with the desert and foster greater understanding of the preciousness of water and our native plant resources. We promote only plants and horticultural practices that are adapted to local conditions. Our designs provide prime habitat for people and wildlife.

By speaking to local garden clubs, botanical gardens, and civic groups, we share our horticultural passion and increase brand awareness. We provide our customers with the information they need to be successful gardeners. Their success is our success.

Document
As our customers’ gardens mature, we record the results photographically and in writing. As a professional garden writer, Scott Calhoun knows what it takes to get a garden published.
